The 16-year-old was arrested and confessed to the crime. He did not name a motive. The public prosecutor’s office assumes manslaughter and attempted murder.
As the 51-year-old mother told the police, her 16- and 12-year-old sons had come home on tuesday afternoon and were there alone. She herself was still working. When she came home, she found her twelve-year-old son lifeless and crying for help. At that moment, her son also attacked and injured her.
During the scuffle, the woman was able to flee to a neighbor, who called the police. Meanwhile, the suspected perpetrator had prepared his suicide, but then refrained from it, explained the head of the homicide commission, ralf finke. The suspected perpetrator has not yet come to the attention of the police. There are also no indications of violence in the family.
However, the 16-year-old has been undergoing therapeutic treatment to deal with the suicide of his father. This had killed himself one and a half years ago. "This could have been a draw for personal problems," said finke. The 16-year old had increasingly swung the school.
Now the young man is in stationary medical treatment. The public prosecutor’s office has applied to the juvenile court judge for placement in a juvenile psychiatric clinic. Because no motive is discernible, a psychiatrist is now to examine whether the 16-year-old is mentally ill and therefore less culpable or not culpable.
